Supposedly this is known as the Goth Target - I am probably too old to understand why. Anyway, this Target is built in the historic Carson Pirie Scott building (known as the Sullivan Center). Target did an excellent job of balancing the Target brand with the historic elements of the building. They kept the metal cast entranceway and restored the design of the columns throughout the store. There are two sections (one on the first floor at the back, the other on the second floor by the front) that take about the history of the place and Target's restoration of the building - worth a read.
